6 Men rettferdigheten som er ved tro taler slik: “Si ikke i ditt hjerte, ‘Hvem skal stige opp til himmelen?’” (det vil si, for å bringe Kristus ned)

7 eller “‘Hvem skal gå ned i avgrunnen?’” (det vil si, for å bringe Kristus opp fra de døde).

Men hva sier den? “Ordet er nær deg; det er i din munn og i ditt hjerte,” det vil si, troens ord som vi forkynner:

9 Hvis du erkjenner med din munn, “Jesus er Herre,” og har tro i ditt hjerte at Gud reiste ham opp fra de døde, skal du bli frelst.

10 For med hjertet tror man og blir rettferdiggjort, og med munnen bekjenner man og blir frelst.
