34 "Vær på vakt, så ikke hjertene deres blir tynget av utskeielser, drukkenskap og livets bekymringer, og den dagen kommer over dere plutselig som en snare.

35 For den skal komme over alle som bor over hele jordens overflate.

Våk alltid, og be om at dere må ha styrke til å unnslippe alt som skal skje, og til å stå framfor Menneskesønnen."

37 Hver dag underviste Jesus i tempelet, og hver kveld gikk han ut for å tilbringe natten på høyden som kalles Oljeberget,

38 og alle folkene sto tidlig opp om morgenen for å høre ham i tempelet.
