5 Du, Herre Gud, hærskarenes Gud, Israels Gud,
Våkn opp for å bringe rettferdighet til alle nasjonene;
Vis ingen nåde til dem som handler svikefullt i urett.

Se, de spyr ut med sine munner;
Sverd er på deres lepper,

8 Men Du, Herre, finner dem latterlige;
Du holder alle nasjonene i forakt.

9 I Hans styrke vil jeg holde vakt for Deg,
For Gud er min tilflukt.
