Terms

Short and honest: these are the rules for using Bible Compass and creating an account.

The service

Bible Compass is a website for reading, searching and understanding the Bible. You can use most of it without an account. With an account you can follow all the reading plans and save your progress.

Account

You log in with a link we send to your email address. You are responsible for having access to that email, and for what happens on your account. You can delete your account whenever you like, and we then remove your data.

Newsletter

The newsletter is a separate choice. You only get it if you have said yes, and you can unsubscribe at any time. Saying no does not affect your use of the service.

Content and texts

The Bible texts come from translations with open licences, and the sources are listed under Sources and credits. The tagging of verses and topics was made with the help of artificial intelligence and has not yet been reviewed by people. We may be wrong, and we appreciate corrections.

Proper use

Use the service properly. Do not try to break into it, overload it or extract content on a large scale without asking first.

Responsibility

We do our best, but the service is provided as it is, with no guarantee that it is always available or free of errors. Bible Compass is not an alternative to help from people. If you need someone to talk to, you can call Kirkens SOS (22 40 00 40) or Mental Helse (116 123) in Norway.

Changes

If the terms change in a way that matters to you, we will say so before they apply. Norwegian law applies.
