65 Og de kom med mange andre fornærmende bemerkninger til Ham.

66 Ved daggry samlet folkets eldsteråd seg, både overprestene og de skriftlærde, og Jesus ble ført frem for dem.

“Hvis du er Messias,” sa de, “si det til oss.” Jesus svarte, “Hvis jeg sier det til dere, vil dere ikke tro;

68 og hvis jeg spør dere om noe, vil dere ikke svare.

69 Men fra nå av skal Menneskesønnen sitte ved Guds makts høyre hånd.”
