11 Jesus sa til Peter: "Sett sverdet tilbake i sliren. Skal jeg ikke drikke det begeret Faderen har gitt meg?"

12 Da arresterte avdelingen av soldater, sammen med deres kommandør og de jødiske offiserene, Jesus og bandt ham.

De førte ham først til Annas, som var svigerfar til Kaifas, ypperstepresten det året.

14 Kaifas var den som hadde rådet de jødiske lederne at det ville være fordelaktig for ett menneske å dø for folket.

15 Simon Peter fulgte etter Jesus, sammen med en annen disippel. Denne disippelen var kjent med ypperstepresten og gikk med Jesus inn i yppersteprestens gård,
