Hosea 4,1

Hør Herrens ord, Israels barn, for Herren har en klage mot innbyggerne i landet: det er verken sannhet eller lojalitet, heller ingen kunnskap om Gud i landet.

² Det er forbannelse, svik, mord, tyveri og ekteskapsbrudd; de tyr til vold, og blod følger blod.

³ På grunn av dette sørger landet, og alle som bor i det, visner bort; markens dyr, himmelens fugler og til og med havets fisk blir tatt bort.
