22 Så han forlot Herren, sine forfedres Gud, og vandret ikke på Herrens vei.

23 Og Amons tjenere sammensverget seg mot ham og drepte kongen i hans eget hus.

Da håndterte folket i landet dem som hadde konspirert mot kong Amon, og de utnevnte hans sønn Josjia til konge i hans sted.

25 Nå resten av Amons gjerninger, som han gjorde, er de ikke nedskrevet i Krønikerboken for Judas konger?

26 Og han ble begravet i sin grav i Uzzas hage, og hans sønn Josjia ble konge etter ham.
