2 "Hvorfor bryter disiplene dine de gamles tradisjon? De vasker ikke hendene før de spiser."

3 Jesus svarte: "Og hvorfor bryter dere Guds bud for deres tradisjons skyld?

For Gud sa: ‘Hedre din far og din mor,’ og, ‘Den som taler ondt om sin far eller mor, skal dø.’

5 Men dere sier at hvis noen erklærer til sin far eller mor: ‘Den hjelpen du kunne ha fått fra meg er en gave til Gud,’

6 skal de ikke oppfylle sin plikt overfor sin far eller mor med det. Slik opphever dere Guds ord for deres tradisjons skyld.
