Jesaja 34,1

Kom nær, dere nasjoner, og lytt; hør etter, dere folk! La jorden og alt den inneholder høre, verden og alt som spirer frem fra den.

2 For Herrens harme er over alle nasjoner, og Hans vrede over alle deres hærer. Han har fullstendig ødelagt dem, Han har overgitt dem til slakt.

3 Deres drepte skal bli kastet ut, og deres lik vil avgi en stank; fjellene skal bli gjennomtrukket av deres blod.
