MosesSalomoGibeon

1 Salomo, Davids sønn, etablerte fast sitt styre over sitt rike,
for Herren hans Gud var med ham og opphøyet ham stort.

2 Salomo talte til hele Israel,
til høvedsmennene over tusen og over hundre,
til dommerne og til alle lederne i hele Israel, overhodene for fedrenes hus.

Salomo dro sammen med hele forsamlingen til offerhaugen i Gibeon,
fordi Guds møtetelt var der, som Moses, Herrens tjener, hadde laget i ørkenen.

4 David hadde imidlertid brakt Guds ark opp fra Kirjat-Jearim
til det stedet han hadde forberedt for den,
for han hadde satt opp et telt for den i Jerusalem.

5 Nå var kobberalteret som Besalel, sønn av Uri, sønn av Hur, hadde laget,
der foran Herrens tabernakel,
og Salomo og forsamlingen søkte det ut.
