9 Se, Gud, vårt skjold,
Og se til din salvedes ansikt.

10 For én dag i dine forgårder er bedre enn tusen andre.
Jeg vil heller stå ved terskelen i min Guds hus
Enn å bo i ugudeliges telt.

For Herren Gud er en sol og et skjold;
Herren gir nåde og ære;
Han nekter ikke noe godt til dem som vandrer i uskyld.

12 Herre, hærskarenes Gud,
Salig er det menneske som setter sin lit til deg!
