Baal-gad Lebanon Lebo-hamath Mount Hermon

³ fra Sihor, som er øst for Egypt, til området Ekron i nord, som regnes som kanaaneisk; de fem herskerne over filisterne: gazittene, ashdodittene, ashkelonittene, gittittene, ekronittene; og avvittene

⁴ mot sør; hele kanaaneernes land, og Meara som tilhører sidonierne, så langt som til Afek, til amorittenes grense;

og gebalittenes land, og hele Libanon mot øst, fra Baal-gad nedenfor Hermonfjellet til Lebo-Hamat.

⁶ Alle innbyggerne i fjellandet fra Libanon til Misrefot-Majim, alle sidonierne, vil jeg drive ut foran israelittene; bare fordel det til Israel som en arv slik jeg har befalt deg.

⁷ Fordel nå derfor dette landet som en arv blant de ni stammene og den halve Manasse-stammen.»
