1 “Men nå, Job, vennligst lytt til min tale;
gi akt på alle mine ord.

2 Se nå, jeg er i ferd med å åpne min munn;
min tunge er klar til å tale.

Mine ord kommer fra hjertets integritet;
mine lepper uttrykker kunnskap oppriktig.

4 Guds Ånd har skapt meg;
Den Allmektiges pust gir meg liv.

5 Svar meg hvis du kan;
gjør deg klar og ta din stand.
