18 Ved en stor kraft blir mitt plagg forvrengt;
det binder meg som kragen på min kappe.

19 Han har kastet meg i gjørmen,
og jeg er redusert til støv og aske.

Jeg roper til Deg om hjelp, men Du svarer ikke;
jeg står opp, og Du vender Ditt blikk mot meg.

21 Du har blitt hard mot meg;
med styrken av Din hånd forfølger Du meg.

22 Du løfter meg opp til vinden og lar meg ri på den,
og Du sprer meg i stormen.
