Jesaja 37,19

17 Bøy ditt øre, Herre, og hør; åpne dine øyne, Herre, og se; og lytt til alle ordene som Sankerib har sendt for å spotte den levende Gud.

18 Sannelig, Herre, Assyrias konger har ødelagt alle nasjonene og deres land,

og har kastet deres guder i ilden, for de var ingen guder, men menneskehenders verk, tre og stein. Derfor ble de ødelagt.

20 Nå, Herre vår Gud, befri oss fra hans hånd, så alle jordens riker kan vite at du alene, Herre, er Gud.”
