Jeremia 9,25
23 Dette sier Herren: "La ikke den vise være stolt av sin visdom eller den sterke av sin styrke eller den rike av sin rikdom,
24 men la den som er stolt, være stolt av dette: at de har forstand til å kjenne meg, at jeg er Herren som utøver godhet, rettferdighet og rett på jorden, for i disse har jeg behag," sier Herren.
"Se, dager kommer," sier Herren, "da jeg vil straffe alle som er omskåret bare i kjødet—
26 Egypt, Juda, Edom, Ammon, Moab, og alle som bor i ørkenen på fjerne steder. For alle disse nasjonene er uomskårne, og til og med hele Israels hus er uomskåret i hjertet."
