1 Og Saulus samtykket i hans død. Den dagen oppsto det en hard forfølgelse mot menigheten i Jerusalem, og alle unntatt apostlene ble spredt rundt i områdene Judea og Samaria.

2 Trofaste menn la Stefan til hvile og sørget dypt over ham.

Men Saulus herjet menigheten, gikk inn i hus etter hus, og dro menn og kvinner bort, og satte dem i fengsel.

4 Derfor gikk de som var spredt omkring og forkynte ordet.

5 Filip dro ned til en by i Samaria og begynte å forkynne Kristus for dem.
