6 Folkene i Israel og Juda som bodde i byene i Juda brakte også inn tienden av storfe og sauer, og tienden av hellige gaver viet til Herren deres Gud, og la dem i hauger.

7 De begynte å samle haugene i den tredje måneden og fullførte dem i den sjuende måneden.

Da Hiskia og lederne kom og så haugene, priste de Herren og Hans folk Israel.

9 Så spurte Hiskia prestene og levittene om haugene.

10 Asarja, ypperstepresten av Sadoks hus, sa til ham, "Siden bidragene begynte å bli brakt inn i Herrens hus, har vi hatt nok å spise med rikelig til overs, for Herren har velsignet sitt folk, og denne overfloden er igjen."
