6 Alle disse var under deres fars veiledning
for å synge i Herrens hus, med cymbaler, harper og lyrer,
for tjenesten i Guds hus.
Asaf, Jedutun og Heman var under kongens ledelse.

7 Deres antall som var opplært i å synge for Herren, med sine slektninger, alle som var dyktige, var

De kastet lodd for sine plikter, alle likt,
de unge så vel som de gamle, læreren så vel som eleven.

9 Det første loddet for Asaf falt på Josef,
det andre på Gedalja, han med sine slektninger og sønner var tolv;

10 det tredje loddet falt på Sakkur, sammen med sine sønner og slektninger, tolv;
