15 For Herren vil slå Israel, akkurat som sivet rister i vannet; og Han vil rykke opp Israel fra dette gode landet som Han ga til deres fedre, og vil spre dem utover Eufrat-elven, fordi de har laget sine Asjeraer, og provosert Herren til vrede.

16 Og Han vil gi opp Israel på grunn av Jeroboams synder, som han begikk og som han villedet Israel til å synde med.”

Da reiste Jeroboams kone seg og dro, og kom til Tirsa. Da hun krysset terskelen til huset, døde barnet.

18 Og hele Israel begravde ham og sørget over ham, i samsvar med Herrens ord, som Han hadde talt gjennom Sin tjener profeten Ahia.

19 Nå om resten av Jeroboams gjerninger, hans kriger og hans regjeringstid, se, de er nedskrevet i Krønikeboken til Israels konger.
