5 Jeg så meg om, men det var ingen til å hjelpe, og jeg ble forferdet over at ingen ga støtte; så min egen arm brakte meg frelse, og min harme støttet meg.

6 Jeg tråkket ned folkene i min vrede og gjorde dem drukne med min harme, og jeg helte ut deres livsblod på jorden."

Jeg vil fortelle om Herrens miskunn, og Herrens pris, i henhold til alt det Herren har gjort for oss, og den store godhet mot Israels hus, som han har gitt i henhold til sin medfølelse og overfloden av sine miskunner.

8 For han sa: "Sannelig, de er mitt folk, barn som ikke vil være falske." Så ble han deres Frelser.

9 I all deres lidelse led han også, og hans nærværs engel frelste dem. I sin kjærlighet og barmhjertighet gjenløste han dem; han løftet dem opp og bar dem gjennom de gamle dager.
