15 Men Herren sa til ham: "Gå, for han er et utvalgt redskap for meg til å bringe mitt navn til hedningene, til konger, og til Israels folk;

16 Jeg vil åpenbare for ham hvor mye han skal lide for mitt navn."

Så Ananias gikk og gikk inn i huset, og la hendene på ham og sa: "Bror Saulus, Herren Jesus, som viste seg for deg på veien du reiste, har sendt meg for at du skal få synet tilbake og bli fylt med Den Hellige Ånd."

18 Straks falt noe som skjell fra øynene hans, og han fikk synet tilbake. Han reiste seg og ble døpt,

19 og etter å ha tatt mat, ble han styrket. Saulus tilbrakte flere dager med disiplene i Damaskus.
