8 Om jeg stiger opp til himmelen, er Du der;
Om jeg legger meg i dypet, er Du der.

9 Om jeg tar morgenrødens vinger,
Og bor ved havets ytterste grense,

Selv der skal Din hånd lede meg,
Og Din høyre hånd holde meg fast.

11 Om jeg sier: "Sannelig, mørket skal dekke meg,
Og lyset omkring meg bli natt,"

12 Selv mørket er ikke mørkt for Deg,
Og natten lyser som dagen.
Mørket og lyset er like for Deg.
