58 "Vi hørte ham si: 'Jeg vil ødelegge dette tempelet som er laget med menneskehender, og på tre dager vil jeg bygge et annet, som ikke er laget med menneskehender.'"

59 Men selv da kunne ikke deres vitnesbyrd stemme overens.

Da sto ypperstepresten opp for å avhøre Jesus: "Vil du ikke svare? Hva med dette vitnesbyrdet disse mennene bringer mot deg?"

61 Men Jesus forble taus og svarte ikke. Igjen spurte ypperstepresten ham: "Er du Messias, den Velsignedes Sønn?"

62 "Jeg er," sa Jesus. "Og dere skal se Menneskesønnen sitte ved Den Mektiges høyre hånd og komme på himmelens skyer."
