28 Straks spredte ryktet om ham seg over hele Galilea.

29 Da de forlot synagogen, gikk de med Jakob og Johannes til Simons og Andreas' hjem.

Simons svigermor lå til sengs med feber, og de fortalte straks Jesus om henne.

31 Så han gikk bort til henne, tok henne i hånden og hjalp henne opp. Feberen forlot henne, og hun begynte å tjene dem.

32 Den kvelden, etter solnedgang, brakte folk til Jesus alle som var syke og de som var besatt av demoner.
