7 Da mitt liv svant bort,
husket jeg Herren,
og min bønn nådde Deg,
inn i Ditt hellige tempel.

8 De som holder fast ved verdiløse avguder
forlater sin troskap,

men jeg, med takksigelsens røst,
vil ofre til Deg.
Det jeg har lovet vil jeg oppfylle.
Frelsen er fra Herren."

10 Så talte Herren til fisken, og den spydde Jona opp på tørt land.
