Death and loss

12 Hvorfor var det knær til å ta imot meg,
og bryster som jeg kunne die?

13 For nå ville jeg hvile i fred;
jeg ville sove og være i ro,

med jordens konger og rådgivere,
som bygde ruiner for seg selv,

15 eller med fyrster som eide gull,
som fylte sine hus med sølv.

16 Eller hvorfor ble jeg ikke skjult som et dødfødt barn,
som spedbarn som aldri så lyset?
