1 Et budskap fra Herren kom til meg:

2 “Menneskesønn, stem i en klagesang over Tyrus.

Si til Tyrus, som sitter ved inngangen til havet, kjøpmann for folk til mange kyster: ‘Dette sier den suverene Herren:
“‘Du har erklært, Tyrus,
“Jeg er fullkommen i skjønnhet.”

4 Ditt domene er i hjertet av havene;
dine byggere har fullendt din skjønnhet.

5 De laget alt ditt tømmer av einer fra Senir;
en seder fra Libanon ble tatt
for å lage en mast for deg.
