2 Plutselig kom det en lyd fra himmelen som en kraftig, susende vind og fylte hele huset der de satt.

3 De så noe som lignet ildtunger som delte seg og satte seg på hver enkelt av dem.

De ble alle fylt med Den Hellige Ånd og begynte å tale på forskjellige språk, etter som Ånden ga dem evne til.

5 Nå bodde det i Jerusalem jøder, gudfryktige menn fra alle folkeslag under himmelen.

6 Da de hørte denne lyden, samlet det seg en folkemengde, for hver enkelt hørte dem tale på sitt eget språk.
