25 Da Peter kom inn, møtte Kornelius ham og falt ned for hans føtter i ærefrykt.

26 Men Peter hjalp ham opp og sa: "Reis deg. Jeg er bare et menneske selv."

Mens han samtalte med ham, gikk Peter inn og fant en stor forsamling av mennesker.

28 Han sa til dem: "Dere er klar over at det er mot vår lov for en jøde å omgås eller besøke en hedning. Men Gud har vist meg at jeg ikke skal kalle noen urene eller vanhellige.

29 Så da jeg ble sendt etter, kom jeg uten å reise noen innvendinger. Kan jeg spørre hva grunnen er til at dere sendte etter meg?"
