Åpenbaringen 9,5

3 Ut av røyken kom det gresshopper over jorden, og de fikk makt som skorpionene på jorden.

4 De ble instruert om ikke å skade gresset på jorden, heller ikke noe grønt, heller ikke noe tre, men bare de menneskene som ikke hadde Guds segl på sine panner.

De fikk bare lov til å pine dem i fem måneder uten å forårsake død. Pinen de påførte var lik en skorpions stikk.

6 I de dager skal folk søke døden, men ikke finne den; de skal lengte etter å dø, men døden skal unnslippe dem.

7 Gresshoppene så ut som hester forberedt til kamp. På hodene deres var noe som lignet kroner av gull, og ansiktene deres lignet menneskeansikter.
