33 Egypterne oppfordret folket til å sende dem ut av landet i hast, for de sa: «Vi skal alle omkomme!»

34 Så tok folket deigen sin før den var syret, og bar sine deigtrau innpakket i klærne sine på skuldrene.

Nå hadde Israels barn gjort som Moses hadde sagt, for de hadde bedt egypterne om sølv- og gullsmykker og klær;

36 og Herren hadde gitt folket velvilje i egypternes øyne, så de lot dem få det de ba om. Slik plyndret de egypterne.

37 Israels barn dro fra Rameses til Sukkot, omtrent sekshundre tusen menn til fots, foruten barn.
