22 Kenanja, lederen for levittene, var ansvarlig for sangen;
han ga instruksjon i sang fordi han var dyktig.

23 Og Berekja og Elkana tjente som portvakter for arken.

Og prestene Sjevanja, Josjafat, Netanel, Amasai, Sakarja, Benaja og Elieser
blåste i trompetene foran Guds ark.
Og Obed-Edom og Jehia var også portvakter for arken.

25 Slik gikk David, med Israels eldste og høvedsmennene over tusener,
for å føre opp Herrens paktsark
fra Obed-Edoms hus med glede.

26 Og fordi Gud hjalp levittene som bar Herrens paktsark,
ofret de syv okser og syv værer.
