23 Han har svekket min styrke underveis;
Han har forkortet mine dager.

24 Jeg sier, “Min Gud, ta meg ikke bort midt i mine dager,
Dine år strekker seg gjennom alle generasjoner.

I tidligere tider grunnla du jordens fundament,
Og himlene er skapt av dine hender.

26 De vil forgå, men du forblir;
Alle av dem vil slites ut som et plagg;
Som en ødelagt klut vil du skifte dem, og de vil være borte.

27 Men du forblir uforandret,
Og dine år vil aldri ta slutt.
