5. Mosebok 7,1

Når Herren din Gud fører deg inn i landet du skal ta i eie, og driver ut mange folkeslag for deg—hetittene, girgasittene, amorittene, kanaanittene, perisittene, hevittene og jebusittene, sju folkeslag som er større og mektigere enn deg—

2 og når Herren din Gud overgir dem til deg og du slår dem, skal du fullstendig ødelegge dem. Du skal ikke inngå noen pakt med dem, og ikke vise dem noen nåde.

3 Unngå å inngå ekteskap med dem. Ikke gi dine døtre til deres sønner, og ikke ta deres døtre til dine sønner,
