Israel

3 Enhver av Israels hus som ofrer en okse, et lam eller en geit i leiren eller utenfor den,

4 og ikke bringer det til inngangen til møteteltet for å ofre det til Herren foran tabernaklet, skal være skyldig i å ha utøst blod. Den personen har utøst blod og må utestenges fra sitt folk.

Dette er for at israelittene skal bringe sine ofre, som de nå ofrer på de åpne markene, til Herren ved inngangen til møteteltet, til presten, og ofre dem som fellesskapsoffer.

6 Presten skal stenke blodet på Herrens alter ved inngangen til møteteltet, og brenne fettet som en behagelig duft for Herren.

7 De må ikke lenger ofre sine offer til geitdemonene, som de har vært utro med. Dette skal være en varig forskrift for dem og for fremtidige generasjoner.'
