5 Således grunnfestet Herren kongedømmet under hans styre, og hele Juda brakte gaver til Josjafat, og han nøt stor rikdom og ære.

6 Og han hadde stor glede i Herrens veier, og fjernet igjen offerhaugene og Asjera-stolpene fra Juda.

I det tredje året av hans regjeringstid sendte han sine embetsmenn—Ben-Hail, Obadja, Sakarja, Netanel og Mika—til å gi undervisning i byene i Juda;

8 og med dem levittene, Sjemaja, Netanja, Sebadja, Asael, Sjemiramot, Jonatan, Adonja, Tobia og Tob-Adonja—levitter; og med dem Elisjama og Joram, prester.

9 Og de underviste i Juda, og de hadde Herrens lovbok med seg; og de dro rundt i alle byene i Juda og underviste blant folket.
