16 Herre vår Gud, all denne overflod som vi har samlet for å bygge et hus for Ditt hellige navn,
det kommer fra Din hånd, og alt er Ditt.

17 Siden jeg vet, min Gud, at Du prøver hjertet og har behag i oppriktighet,
har jeg, i hjertets integritet, villig gitt alle disse tingene;
så nå med glede har jeg sett Ditt folk, som er til stede her, gi sine offer villig til Deg.

Herre, Abrahams, Isaks og Israels Gud, våre fedre,
hold dette for alltid i intensjonene til Ditt folks hjerter,
og led deres hjerter til Deg;

19 og gi min sønn Salomo et hengivent hjerte
til å holde Dine bud, Dine vitnesbyrd og Dine forskrifter,
og å utføre dem,
og å bygge tempelet, som jeg har sørget for.”

20 Så talte David til hele forsamlingen:
“Gi nå pris til Herren deres Gud.”
Og hele forsamlingen priste Herren, deres fedres Gud,
og bøyde seg ned og hyllet Herren og kongen.
