11 Disse tingene skjedde med dem som en advarsel, og de ble skrevet ned for vår lærdom, over hvem tidens ende er kommet.

12 Derfor, la den som tror han står, passe seg så han ikke faller.

Ingen fristelse har overvunnet dere bortsett fra det som er vanlig for mennesker; og Gud er trofast, som ikke vil tillate at dere blir fristet utover deres evne, men med fristelsen vil også gi en utvei, så dere kan tåle det.

14 Derfor, mine kjære venner, unngå avgudsdyrkelse.

15 Jeg taler til dere som kloke individer; vurder hva jeg sier.
