27 Han lot kjøtt regne over dem som støv,
Selv vingede fugler som havets sand,

28 Han lot dem falle midt i deres leir,
Rundt omkring deres boliger.

Så de spiste og ble godt tilfreds,
Og Han oppfylte deres lyst.

30 Men før de hadde tilfredsstilt sin lyst,
Mens deres mat ennå var i deres munn,

31 Steg Guds vrede opp mot dem
Og slo ned noen av deres sterkeste,
Og bøyde de utvalgte menn i Israel.
