6 De vender tilbake om kvelden, de knurrer som en hund,
Og streifer rundt i byen.

7 Se, de spyr ut med sine munner;
Sverd er på deres lepper,
For de sier: "Hvem hører?"

Men Du, Herre, finner dem latterlige;
Du holder alle nasjonene i forakt.

9 I Hans styrke vil jeg holde vakt for Deg,
For Gud er min tilflukt.

10 Min Gud i Sin trofasthet vil komme til meg;
Gud vil la meg se i triumf på mine fiender.
