4 Mennesket er som et pust;
Hans dager er som en flyktig skygge.

5 Senk Dine himler, Herre, og stig ned;
Rør ved fjellene, så de ryker.

Send lyn og spred dem;
Skyt Dine piler og forvirr dem.

7 Rekk ut Din hånd fra det høye;
Fri meg og frels meg fra de mektige vann,
Fra fremmedes grep

8 Hvis munn taler svik,
Og hvis høyre hånd er en løgnens hånd.
