¹ De som stoler på Herren
Er som Sion-fjellet, som ikke kan rokkes, men blir stående for alltid.

¹ Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion. It cannot be moved; it abides forever.

² Likesom fjellene omgir Jerusalem,
Slik omgir Herren sitt folk
Nå og for alltid.

² As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds His people, both now and forevermore.

³ For ugudelighetens septer skal ikke hvile over de rettferdiges land,
Slik at de rettferdige ikke rekker ut hendene for å gjøre urett.

³ For the scepter of the wicked will not rest upon the land allotted to the righteous, so that the righteous will not put forth their hands to injustice.

⁴ Vis godhet, Herre, mot dem som er gode,
Og mot dem som er oppriktige i hjertet.

⁴ Do good, O LORD, to those who are good, and to the upright in heart.

⁵ Men for dem som vender seg til sine krokete veier,
Vil Herren føre dem bort med dem som praktiserer urettferdighet.
Måtte fred være over Israel.

⁵ But those who turn to crooked ways the LORD will banish with the evildoers. Peace be upon Israel.
