Judgment

1 Obadjas syn.
Dette er hva Herren Gud sier om Edom—
Vi har hørt en rapport fra Herren,
Og en utsending har blitt sendt blant nasjonene og sier,
“Reis dere, og la oss gå mot henne til kamp”—

“Se, jeg vil gjøre deg ubetydelig blant nasjonene;
Du er holdt i stor forakt.

3 Ditt hjertes stolthet har ført deg vill,
Du som bor i kløftene av fjellet,
I høyden av din bolig,
Som sier i ditt hjerte,
‘Hvem kan bringe meg ned til jorden?’

4 Selv om du gjør ditt rede så høyt som en ørn,
Selv om du setter det blant stjernene,
Derfra vil jeg bringe deg ned,” sier Herren.
