Matteus 10,3

1 Jesus kalte sammen sine tolv disipler og ga dem myndighet over urene ånder, til å drive dem ut, og til å helbrede enhver sykdom og plage.

2 Dette er de tolv apostlene: først Simon, kjent som Peter, og hans bror Andreas; Jakob, sønn av Sebedeus, og hans bror Johannes;

Filip og Bartolomeus; Tomas og Matteus, som var toller; Jakob, sønn av Alfeus, og Taddeus;

4 Simon seloten, og Judas Iskariot, som senere forrådte ham.

5 Disse tolv sendte Jesus ut med følgende instruksjoner: “Gå ikke på en vei til hedningene, og gå ikke inn i en by til samaritanene;
