8 Men annet korn falt i god jord. Det vokste, økte, og ga avling, tretti, seksti og hundrefold.»

9 Så sa Han, «Den som har ører å høre med, la dem høre.»

Da Han var alene, spurte de som var rundt Ham, sammen med de tolv, Ham om lignelsene.

11 Han sa til dem, «Guds rikes mysterium er gitt til dere, men til dem utenfor blir alt sagt i lignelser,

12 slik at,
'de kan se, men ikke oppfatte,
og høre, men ikke forstå;
ellers kunne de vende om og bli tilgitt.'»
