39 "Vend hjem og fortell hvor mye Gud har gjort for deg." Så gikk mannen av sted og forkynte over hele byen hvor mye Jesus hadde gjort for ham.

40 Da Jesus kom tilbake, tok folkemengden imot ham, for de ventet alle på ham.

Da kom en mann ved navn Jairus, en synagogeforstander, og falt ned for Jesu føtter og ba ham inntrengende om å komme til hans hus

42 fordi hans eneste datter, en jente på omkring tolv år, var døende. Mens Jesus var på vei, holdt folkemengden nesten på å klemme ham i hjel.

43 Og en kvinne var der som hadde hatt blødninger i tolv år, men ingen kunne helbrede henne.
