Apostlenes gjerninger 13,15

13 Paulus og hans følgesvenner seilte fra Pafos og kom til Perge i Pamfylia, hvor Johannes forlot dem for å vende tilbake til Jerusalem.

14 Fra Perge fortsatte de til Pisidia Antiokia. På sabbaten gikk de inn i synagogen og satte seg.

Etter opplesningen fra Loven og Profetene, sendte synagogens ledere bud til dem og sa: "Brødre, hvis dere har et oppmuntrende ord til folket, vennligst tal."

16 Paulus reiste seg, gjorde tegn med hånden og sa: "Israels menn og dere som frykter Gud, hør:

17 Israels folks Gud valgte våre forfedre og lot folket blomstre under deres opphold i Egypt, og med en opphøyet arm førte Han dem ut derfra.
