11 Så brakte de båtene til land, forlot alt og fulgte ham.

12 Mens Jesus var i en av byene, kom en mann dekket av spedalskhet bort til ham. Da han så Jesus, falt han på sitt ansikt og bønnfalt: «Herre, hvis du vil, kan du gjøre meg ren.»

Jesus rakte ut hånden, rørte ved mannen og sa: «Jeg vil; bli ren.» Straks forlot spedalskheten ham.

14 Jesus befalte ham: «Fortell det ikke til noen, men gå, vis deg for presten og bær frem de offer som Moses har påbudt for din renselse, som et vitnesbyrd for dem.»

15 Likevel spredte ryktet om ham seg enda mer, og store folkemengder samlet seg for å høre ham og for å bli helbredet for sine plager.
